Description

This is a longer term project where we want to merge some of Sarah's changes to clsim/millipede/photonics-service to the trunk so that we can run DirectReco? in the upgrade. It'll take a lot of effort, but its the only feasible option under discussion, since we don't have a good way to make the splines for a realistic ice model with multi-PMT modules.

Install docs for the current project are at ​https://wiki.icecube.wisc.edu/index.php/Direct_reconstruction which can serve as a roadmap for the work required to get this in.

First step complete: DirectReco? currently lives in a branch of combo at ​https://code.icecube.wisc.edu/projects/icecube/browser/IceCube/meta-projects/combo/branches/directreco

The code compiles, but requires replacing millipede, clsim, and photonics-service. The next step is to separate out the changes to these projects and put them all into a single DirectReco? icetray project that can be compiled alongside the trunks instead of replacing them.
